Lord of Time, The Other
Lords of Time, Last Of [link] Character courtesy of Doctor Who, which is owned by the BBC. The image is all mine, however. The Other is one of the founders of the Time Lords. The other two are Omega and Rassilon. Been wanting to do a series of the Time Lords but intended to do them later, after finishing a bunch of other drawings first. Stumbled on  's Asian theme contest [link] and decided to draw The Other now. I've always envisioned him as Asian. It's a bit rushed 'cos it was exam week. Never had worked to a deadline before, and having only a week to draw something was a challenge. Almost didn't get the background done. Time taken: 10 hours plus. Refs: Engineering textbook for the background. Puck for the clothes. A woman for the hair. No ref for the face, so, yeah, there are mistakes. Jewellery/sybolism added. It's supposed to be a dragon and snake, but I simplified them because it's the end of the Dark Time, and the beginning of the Age of Science. Drawn with blunt HB pencil on A4. Shaded and refined with a sharper, darker ones after the contest. Edited for contrast. Coloured version [link] |
